I received my parcel, but the pieces look different to that pictured on the website.
Irregularities in our pieces are to be considered part of their charm, rather than faults. Due to the nature of handcrafted items we cannot guarantee that each piece will be exactly as per our photographs and description. We can guarantee however that we will do our best to clearly describe each item and answer any questions you may have.
How do I care for my items?
Akasha yoga pieces are all handmade items which are delicate and should be handled carefully.

I received my order and there is a fault in one of the items.
In the unlikely event that you receive an item that is faulty, please contact us immediately. We will review the situation and ask you to return the item to us for assessment. We will gladly offer a full refund/credit, repair to replace the item and ship it to you at our cost (subject to availability). Refunds will be returned to the same account used to purchase the item.
I've changed my mind, can I get a refund?
If you are not 100% satisfied with you purchase we will gladly offer credit notes or exchanges within 14 days of receiving your item. The item must be in original condition with swing tag attached. Akasha is not responsible for return shipping costs.

How does my purchase help the community?
Purchasing goods through the AKASHA site promotes a healthy economy and generates a steady income within the communities that we align ourselves with. We try, where possible to source our products from families with low-income earners, health issues or in-need of general financial aid.
In San Marcos Lake Lagoon, Approx 75% of a low-income earners wage is allocated to the purchasing of firewood and corn. That leaves little else for necessities such as fresh fruit and vegetables, health care etc. As a result many families are malnourished, have poor health and lack formal education. UNIECF released a report in December 2014, ranking Guatemala number five in the world’s most malnourished countries. By buying their products you are helping to preserve age-old processes and skills.
In addition, for every Akasha yoga mat strap sold, Akasha will donate $5 to Konojel Community Centre, an incredible organisation, very close to our hearts. Their mission is to address chronic malnutrition in San Marcos La Laguna through providing a hearty vegetarian meal every weekday to 60 of the most at risk individuals in the community – most of whom are children. In addition to these meals, they also provide nutrition workshops and daily education enrichment programs for children.
